Gome Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd. has designated Zou Xiaochun, Gome founder Huang Guangyu's lawyer, to be the company's vice president, the National Business Daily reported Thursday, citing sources close to the matter.

"Zou will continue to do what he's good at and be in charge of legal affairs and special affairs such as investment and acquisition issues," the source said.

The source added that Zou had been appointed as Gome's VP by the end of last year, although his appointment wasn't made public because it doesn't involve any price-sensitive information.

Currently, Gome has six vice presidents, Zou Xiaochun, Wei Qiuli, Sun Yiding, Li Juntao, Mou Guixian and He Yangqing.
