Chinese shares fell 0.53 percent Thursday morning when investors showed greater concern over the country's economic growth on slumping February trade figures.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.53 percent to 2,127.73. The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.51 percent to 7,900.87.
