Top advisor Jia Qinglin met Mongolian Prime Minister Miegombyn
Enkhbold in Beijing Thursday, calling for result-oriented
cooperation between the two countries.
The two countries should earnestly implement consensus reached
by heads of the two states and deepen cooperation in various fields
so as to benefit the people and contribute to peace and stability
in the region, said Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the
Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the
country's top advisory body.
China and Mongolia enjoy potentials for further cooperation as
the two countries are engaged in social and economic development,
said Jia.
The CPPCC will work with the Mongolian side to facilitate mutual
understanding and advance good-neighborly partnership of mutual
trust, which was established in 2003 when Chinese President Hu
Jintao paid a state visit to Mongolia.
Enkhbold said the reciprocal visits of the leaders have helped
enhance mutual trust and promote exchanges and cooperation in
various fields.
Enkhbold arrived here Wednesday for a six-day official visit.
Besides the Chinese capital, Enkhbold will also visit Urumqi,
capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Xi'an, capital of
Shaanxi Province, both in northwest China
It is Enkhbold's first visit to China since he took office as
Mongolian Prime Minister in January.
